Data Deletion

Last updated: May 27, 2026

1. Overview

Yedapo (based in Tel Aviv, Israel) lets you delete your account and the personal data associated with it at any time. You can do this yourself inside the app, or request it by email. This page explains the steps, what gets deleted, what is retained, and how long it takes.

2. Delete your account in the app

  1. Open Yedapo and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
  3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

This permanently deletes your account and the personal data tied to it. The action cannot be undone.

3. Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email [email protected] from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my data.” We verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days.

4. What is deleted

  • Your account and login credentials
  • Your profile and name
  • Your saved items, summary library, and history
  • Your notification preferences and registered device tokens
  • Connected Google / YouTube authorizations
  • Any comments or content you posted

5. What is retained, and why

  • Anonymized analytics: aggregate usage data that is no longer linked to you or your account.
  • Cached episode transcripts and summaries: these are shared, non-personal resources generated from public podcasts/videos and are not tied to your identity.
  • Billing and transaction records: retained as required by tax and accounting law (typically up to 7 years). Payment-card details are held by our payment processors (Apple, Google, Lemon Squeezy), never by Yedapo.

6. Timeline

In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Email requests are completed within 30 days. Backups that may briefly contain residual copies are cycled out on our standard backup-retention schedule.
